"We had a late breakfast here the other week, the weather was gorgeous so we sat outside. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the best thing about it was... tinned tomatoes! So much better on a breakfast than a measly half a grilled tomato. Great cup of tea and the toast was lovely. Service was excellent, they're so friendly. Nice location near the river with a pleasant view of Mapledurham turret. Inside is surprisingly spacious. Dog friendly, although we left ours at home as they'd have been eyeing our sausages. We will absolutely be back, looking forward to our next visit. Keep up the good work!"

"Such a charming little hidden gem! Highly recommend a visit if you have little ones. The cafe is near a lovely walk by the river, it has a kid's play area which I would say is good for little ones under 4. From the garden you can see a small stream and shire horses. There's a covered part of the garden if it's raining. The inside is cosy and it also has an adult only nook. It is dog friendly and they even have blankets you can borrow if you're sitting outside and feeling chilli. There's plenty of free parking just outside. The food is good, really well priced and the portions are big. Lovely place. Can't fault if on any point and can't recommend it enough."

"What a delightful little cafe! We found it only a couple of minutes walk from the Thames footpath. The food was superb, the staff were a joy, the whole experience was one of quaint nostalgia. Prices were very reasonable too, considering its location. Definitely recommend! Edit: we also acquired some bags of duck food, much to the delight of the local quackers on the river!"

"What a lovely little Cafe. Tucked away behind the Social Club is a little gem of a traditional cafe with a good amount of indoor seating and loads of outdoor seating. They have a nice simple breakfast menu covering all the main options. 8 of us stopped in for breakfast. The staff were accommodating, friendly and service pretty quick. A great stop if you’re walking down the river, or just want somewhere a little different."

"What a lovely find on a Thames walk from Pangbourne to Reading. Simple and delicious food but the friendliness is the outstanding thing. A lovely atmosphere created by local women who wanted to do something for their community - and have! Thanks so much from further afield"
